These terms apply when you use KinVault AI (kinvaultai.com.ng), operated by NextFix Technologies Limited ("we", "us"), Nigeria. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. What the site is

KinVault AI is a free digital archive of Nigerian and West African history, culture and traditions. Public browsing needs no account.

2. Nature of the content

Our content is provided for education and general information. We work to source and review every entry (see our Editorial Policy), but history is often contested and records are sometimes incomplete, so we cannot guarantee that every entry is complete, current or free of error. Please do not rely on the site as the only source for legal, genealogical, chieftaincy or other decisions that matter. If you find a mistake, tell us through the correction form on the entry.

3. Using our content

• Unless stated otherwise, the text, design and compilation of the site belong to NextFix Technologies Limited or its contributors.
• You may read, listen to and share links to entries, and quote short extracts with clear credit to KinVault AI and a link to the entry, for personal, educational and non-commercial use.
• You may not copy or republish entries in bulk, or use the content commercially, without our written permission. Email support@kinvaultai.com.ng to ask.
• Some images, recordings and extracts belong to third parties and carry their own credit. Their rights remain with their owners.

4. Acceptable use

Please do not:

• attack, overload, scan or attempt to break into the site or its admin area;
• use bots or scrapers in a way that harms the site's performance;
• send spam, false or abusive material through the correction form or by email;
• use the site for anything unlawful.

We may block access to anyone who does.

5. Corrections and messages you send us

When you submit a correction or message, you allow us to use it to review and improve our content. Please do not include anything you do not have the right to share. How we handle your details is explained in our Privacy Policy.

6. Advertising and third-party links

The site may show advertising and may link to other websites. We do not control or endorse third-party sites or advertisers, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the site available, but we may change, suspend or remove features or content at any time, for example for maintenance or when an entry is corrected.

8. Disclaimer and limit of liability

The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, NextFix Technologies Limited is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or from reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Nigerian law that cannot be excluded.

9. Future features

We plan to add optional account-based features. When we do, additional terms may apply and we will show them before you sign up.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The effective date above shows the latest version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
